Abstract Submission Guidelines

ABSTRACT: The abstract needs to provide a brief but comprehensive summary of the contents of your paper. It provides an overview of the paper and helps readers decide whether to read the full text. Limit your abstract to 250 - 300 words

Abstract Content: The abstract addresses the following (usually 1–2 sentences per topic): • key aspects of the literature review • problem under investigation or research question(s) • clearly stated hypothesis or hypotheses • methods used (including brief descriptions of the study design, sample, and sample size) • study results • implications (i.e., why this study is important, applications of the results or findings

Title: The abstract title should be 12 point Times New Roman and bold. The title of the paper should be centered and should come first, right before the author name.

Author name: Full name of the writer(s), Position, Institution/Affiliation and Email Address should come after the title. The author/authors’ name (in lowercase with the first letter capitalized) and surname (in uppercase letters) should be centered and written in 12-point font, bold type. 

Abstract Format • recommended fonts: 12-point Times New Roman • 1-in. margins on all sides • placement. “Abstract” ° centered and in bold ° written on the first line of the page • text: ° one line below the section label ° not indented and written as a single paragraph ° double-space

KEYWORDS: Keywords need to be descriptive and capture the most important aspects of your paper. They are used for indexing in databases and as search terms for readers. Include three to five words, phrases, or acronyms as keywords

Keywords Content: Keywords address essential paper elements, such as the following: • research topic • population • method • application of results or findings

Keywords Format • recommended fonts: 12-point Times New Roman • placement: written one line below the abstract • label: “Keywords:” ° indented (like a regular paragraph) ° italic (but not bold); each keyword separated by a comma and a space ° no ending punctuation after the final keyword ° listed in any order (not necessarily alphabetical) ° if the keywords run onto a second line, double-space the two lines and do not indent the second line

Full Paper Critical Requirements:

Margins: Margins all 2.5 cm (1”)

Font Size and Type: 12-pt. Times New Roman font

Line Spacing: 1.5 space throughout the paper, including the title page, abstract, body of the document, references, appendixes, footnotes, tables, and figures.

Spacing after Punctuation: Space once after commas, colons, and semicolons within sentences. Insert two spaces after punctuation marks that end sentences.

Alignment: Flush left (creating uneven right margin)

Paragraph Indentation: Hanging Indent to the right.

Pagination: The page number appears on the bottom at the center.

Passive voice: As a general rule, use the passive voice rather than the active voice. For example, use "It was predicted that ..." rather than "We predicted that ..."

  1. Article should not exceed 4,000 to 10,000 words long.
  2. The sub-headings and the headings for tables and diagrams in the body of the text should be written in 12-point font, bold type and time new romans font, 12-point font.
  3. Reference will be according to the APA (American Psychological Association) Referencing System.
  4. References to books should give the author's first name and surname; the title of the book should be in italics; and the place, publisher and year of publication should follow in brackets. All of this information must be provided.
  5. Bibliography should be given at the end of the text and should be listed alphabetically and organized as in the examples below.
  6. All material cited in the text should be included in Bibliography.
